Born: Dayton, Ohio, January 20, 1971; admitted to bar, 1997, Illinois and U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois; 1999, Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals; 2000, U.S. District Court, Central District of Illinois. Education: Illinois State University (B.A., 1993); DePaul University College of Law (J.D./M.B.A., 1997). Article and Notes Editor of DePaul Business Law Journal (1996-1997). Member: Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel. Ms. Fulco has been with Cremer, Kopon, Shaughnessy & Spina, LLC since 2004 and was elected partner in January, 2006. While in law school, Ms. Fulco clerked at several law firms in the areas of personal injury litigation, commercial litigation and employment law. She also worked for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office where she obtained trial experience prosecuting in the domestic violence unit. Before joining CKSS, Ms. Fulco worked for five years at a small firm where her practice focused on medical malpractice defense and civil rights defense. While working in those areas, she authored, "What is Deliberate Indifference?", CorrectCare, Spring 2000; "Medical Negligence and Deliberate Indifference – What is the Difference?", CorrectCare, Summer 2000. She also spoke at seminars on these issues. Since December, 2004, Ms. Fulco has served as a columnist for the IDC Quarterly, the magazine of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel, for which she writes the Recent Decisions column. Ms. Fulco's practice concentrates in the areas of general tort litigation, premises liability, products liability, personal injury defense and wrongful death defense. |
