Born Bethesda, Maryland, September 1, 1964; admitted to the bar, Illinois 1998 and Missouri 2007, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois, 2001. Education: Loyola University of Chicago, College of Arts & Sciences (B.S., Biology, 1987); Southern Illinois University School of Law (J.D., 1998); Member Board of Editors (1996-1997), Southern Illinois University Law Journal (1997-1998). President, Southern Illinois University Graduate and Professional Student Council (1997-1998). Member: Defense Research Institute and Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel. Mr. Hoerman has been with Cremer, Kopon, Shaughnessy & Spina, LLC since June 2001 and was elected partner in January, 2007. Before joining the firm, Mr.Hoerman was a law clerk for the Honorable John W. Rapp, Jr. – Justice of the Illinois Appellate Court, Second District. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Loyola University in Chicago in 1987 and his Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 1998, where he was a member of the Southern Illinois University Law Journal and served on it Board of Editors. He is admitted to practice before the state courts of Illinois and United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is also licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Hoerman’s practice concentrates on transportation, construction, premises liability, products liability, real estate and commercial matters in state and federal courts. He has trial experience and has defended complex multiple party cases involving catastrophic injury and wrongful death. He also has experience in transactional real estate and commercial litigation. He clients include railroads, truck and trailer leasing companies, construction companies, manufacturers, property owners and tenants, property management companies, and telecommunications companies. |
