Born Lansing, Michigan, 1970; admitted to bar 1996, Illinois and U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois. Education: University of Michigan (B.A., 1992); DePaul University College of Law (J.D., 1996). Member: Illinois Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute, Women’s Bar Association of Illinois, and Decalogue Society of Lawyers. Articles: Sexual Harassment: A Review of Current Legal and Practical Issues, IDC Quarterly, Third Quarter 1999; Critical Issues Under the Fair Labor Standards Act, IDC Quarterly, Second Quarter 2003. Ms. Ross’ work with the firm is concentrated in the area of general tort litigation and employment discrimination. She also now serves as the Editor in Chief of the IDC Quarterly. In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Ross frequently provides seminars to clients in the area of employment law , including harassment and discrimination under Title VII (race, gender, sex, religion and national origin discrimination and harassment); Age Discrimination in Employment Act; Americans with Disabilities Act; and the Illinois Human Rights Act. She handles cases in the state and federal courts, as well as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Illinois Department of Human Rights, Cook County Commission on Human Rights, and numerous other local municipal agencies. |
